Ollie Dimsdale

Ollie trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a founder member and co-artistic director of Filter. He has performed in all of Filter’s shows – Faster, Elephant, Caucasian Chalk Circle, Water and Twelfth Night. His many other stage credits include work at The Royal Exchange, Manchester (Great Expectations, and The Dead Wait – for which he won The Manchester Evening News Best Actor Award), The Royal Court (Workers Writes), The Sheffield Crucible (The Comedy of Errors), The Chichester Festival (Pravda), The Salisbury Playhouse (Beautiful Thing, Five Finger Exercise) and The Playhouse Theatre (The Creeper). His many television credits include lead roles in Law and Order (ITV), Breaking the Mould (BBC Four), Harley Street (ITV1), Larkrise to Candleford (BBC), Fallen Angel (ITV1), He Knew He Was Right (BBC), Byron (BBC) and Dalziel and Pascoe (BBC), Casualty and Doctors (BBC). His film credits include Cosi, Nostradamus, Rocknrolla and Pest. Radio drama includes Sharp Focus and In The Company of Men.

Tim Phillips

Tim is a composer and producer. He has written music for a range of screen productions including HBO’s Entourage, Company Pictures’ Talk To Me, Tightrope Pictures’ RTS Award-winning Instinct and is house composer on Company Pictures/Channel 4′s multi-award winning hit Shameless (series 3,4,5,6,7…). In addition to Filter shows he has written scores for many plays, most recently for Kfir Yefet’s Donmar Warehouse production of A Doll’s House (featuring Gillian Anderson/Christopher Eccleston). Tim’s songs have been released commercially and he has toured them internationally to major festivals including the UK’s Isle of Wight Festival.  In 2005 he wrote the musical Burn Me Dead with composer Marc Teitler. The pair are currently working on a new musical in collaboration with Tom Morris. Tim is also developing Satisfaction, a television series he created with the writer John-Henry Butterworth (Company Pictures/Eat Me Productions). In addition another new music/theatre production working titled Space, in collaboration with Andi Watson (visual director of Radiohead, Artic Monkeys…), is in development at the National Theatre Studio.

Ferdy Roberts

Ferdy trained as an actor at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He Co-founded Filter with Ollie and Tim in 2002 and has performed in all Filter’s shows ( Faster, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Water and Twelfth Night). Away from Filter Ferdy has worked extensively in the theatre, his most recent credits include Wallenstein (Chichester Festival Theatre), On Religion (ON Theatre), The Birthday Party and The Dumb Waiter (Bristol Old Vic), Switchback (Glasgow Tron), Frankenstein (Derby Playhouse), The Contractor (Oxford Stage Company), The Sea (Chichester Minerva Theatre), Playing The Victim (Told By An Idiot, Royal Court), Another Country (West End). His Film and Television credits include, Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll( Autumn 2009), Mr Nice (Autumn 2009), Honest, Goldplated (C4), MI High (BBC), Your Mother Should Know (BBC). Ferdy is an Artistic Associate at The Lyric Hammersmith.
